The Trebjesa park forest, where the hotel is located, lies in the very centre of the city and is one of the most popular excursion destinations for local residents and nature lovers alike.
This place is far more than an ordinary hill covered in coniferous forest. Trebjesa is a haven for all who seek an oasis of tranquillity — for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts, a retreat for hedonists, and the "lungs of the city" for all those longing for fresh air.
At the summit of the hill stands the hotel of the same name, one of the symbols of Nikšić, which in addition to its hospitality services features a lookout point offering the most beautiful view of the city. It was built and opened in the 1970s and is the work of the renowned architect Slobodan Vukajlović. Originally named Motel Jastreb (Hawk), its exterior symbolises a bird with outstretched wings. A testament to its beauty is the historical fact that Italian industrialist Giuseppe Calabrese, after his first visit to the then motel, expressed his wish for an identical building to grace the Italian coast. As a result, Slobodan Vukajlović designed Hotel Grotta Regina (Queen of Caves) in Torre a Mare, near Bari.
Once the finest hospitality venue of its kind, Motel Trebjesa was restored by Helada Mont in 2012, once again becoming the ideal destination — whether for relaxation, a fine coffee, a rich culinary experience, or a peaceful night's rest. The interior and exterior of the hotel have been fully renovated, and it has been classified as Hotel Trebjesa, a four-star boutique hotel.
Hotel Trebjesa is the recipient of the Wild Beauty Award 2012 in the category of Best Small Hotel in Montenegro, as well as the Travel & Hospitality Award for Unique Hotel of the Year 2018.
Every room in the hotel has been individually designed, as evidenced by its modern and elegant décor. Natural materials and refined wooden furnishings lend a fresh, clean, and sophisticated feel, which — together with our warm hospitality and attentive staff — will make you feel right at home. The hotel comprises eight rooms spread across two floors, each offering an enchanting view of the Trebjesa park forest and the city of Nikšić.
